Happy Thanksgiving!

11.21.11

Friday night we went to Riverwoods to their holiday party. The lights were awesome. Monet was silently in awe.
They had a room to do crafts, so Monet made a paper Rudolf.

We took this picture in Santa's house before he came. Once he got there, the line was so long, and it was getting colder by the minute, (plus he's there everyday til Christmas.) So we all decided to just peek at him through the side of his house.

We took about 6 of these photo's and Monet's eyes are starring right at Santa the whole time. She was in between excited and nervous. She kept saying, "I do want to sit on his lap. No I don't want to sit on his lap." She was so cute and so fun that night.
And then Chloe and Dylan came over and we played in Blinkenstaffs for awhile.

It was a perfect (early) Christmas kickoff!

11.13.11

On Thursday, after watching the Timpview football game, we all went to dinner to celebrate Wyatt's 26th birthday.

...

We went to this cute place called Eva's, downtown Salt Lake. It was a lot of fun.

Monet loves a good birthday party, that is for sure.

Happy Birthday Wyatt!

11.10.11

I've been redecorating a little bit over here.

In my magazines, I've been seeing, small sofas pulled up to round tables. So I gave it a try with my little yellow couch and it turned out super cute.

I make sure to put Monet on the opposite side of the table so she doesn't throw any food on it, but we've been spill proof thus far. Then, I had these frames which I usually put photos of Monet in but I couldn't find any I was in love with so I went to my cute cousin Ashley's pinterest and printed off some of her photos and posters that she has saved. I just printed them off on my photo printer, and they turned out really cool.
Then I decided that I never decorate for Thanksgiving so I made this little pine cone garland. I saw it on pinterest and it was really easy. I just took pine cones, and spray painted three yellow, three white and left three natural. Then strung them on twine. It was easy and Monet liked helping.
Next on my decorating list: My living room, which means; finding a couch, maybe a rug...but probably not...I hate rugs.

11.06.11

This week we went to Scottsdale to meet up with Grants parents, his brother and his wife and their five, adorable kids.

...

This is Monet waiting in the airport. We basically let the kids do whatever. We went to this game place and they all had a blast.

This is Monet and Andrew. She loved to hug him, talk to him, and rip anything he was holding right out of his hands. Sharing must not be her forte.

They were so cute playing together.
I tried getting some cute photos but I couldn't get her to hold still for one second.

Eating ring pops on the couch.

The kids also swam two of the days. This is such a classic Monet face she is making.

Monet and Andrew drinking smoothies and talking. She is probably telling him about the scary skeleton that she saw on Susan's porch the night of Halloween. She told everyone there about it about three times a day.

The girls were so sweet to Monet. She always wanted to hold their hand and be right by them. She said, "my cousins" about 50 times.

We had a really fun week. It was so nice just to relax and hangout with family.

11.1.11

Halloween was so much fun this year. Monet was trying to figure out what was going on, but she loved it. Little Alice in Wonderland. She chose what she wanted to be all by herself.

We went over to Pam's to see all the little cousins. Sailor was the cutest Mad Hatter!

Lots of fun costumes.

Chloe and Dylan.

Then after dinner Monet met up with her three favorite people in the whole world, Indi, Sloane and Beaux. She played with them, and trick or treated with them, and then played some more. She was in heaven.

Monet definitely liked answering the door more than going trick or treating.

It was funny because the first few houses we went to were family, so they gave her the treat and we all went inside for a minute. Then we went to a house that we didn't know and after he gave her the treat she started to walk inside his house! She must have thought that was part of the trick or treat ritual. She is at the funniest age. I just love watching her figure things out.

...

Hope you had a good one too!
