Yesterday we had an Owl birthday party for Monet.

Beaux, Sloane, Indi & Monet

Surprisingly the weather was nice and the kids could play and eat outside.

We played 'pin the beak on the owl'

Monet loved all of her gifts.

It was hard to get her away from cute baby Penelope!

The kids really loved the pull string pinata.

Monet thought the Little Mermaid card that Wyatt & Lindsay gave her was pretty awesome.

And I thought that the Nicole Miller dress and sparkly Toms that Wyatt & Lindsay gave her was even more awesome. How cute is that.

All of the kids were so helpful opening gifts.

Monet didn't waste any time sporting the sunglasses Dylan gave her.

Waiting patiently to open her new dolls.

My parents gave Monet this cute little table and chairs and also a new Strider bike. Riley gave her a helmet and biking gloves. She always is trying on my dads helmet so she was eager to put her own helmet on right away.I can't wait for it to get warm so we can play with it outside.

Then it was time for birthday candles. She's been preparing for this moment all week. And it paid off because we did it again and again and again and again.

I think she had the best birthday a two year could have.

Happy Birthday sweet Monet

For Easter Sunday we went down to the Plum Patch (my great uncles farm) in Manti. I've been going since I was little so it was fun to bring Monet for her first time. We have a picnic, an Easter egg hunt, a baseball game, and plenty of time to catch up with family. The weather was cold and then warm. Thankfully no rain and no wind, so it was very pleasant.

We stopped on the way to look at all of the cute baby lambs.
Monet wouldn't get off of the Razor. Everyone took turns taking her on rides.

She saw Chloe peeling an egg, so Monet sat there until she had every piece of the shell off. Then she realized there was no candy involved so she abandoned it quickly.

Monet was so happy just running all around. She would trip and fall and get back up and keep running as far away as she could. She reminded me of a little puppy.

She loved collecting all of the eggs.

Yesterday we went to church to the Palm Sunday service. It was such a lovely day. Then we went back to my parents for brunch... (and then stayed for lunch.)

Since we will spend Easter Sunday in Manti, we kind of had our own Easter celebration a week early.

We set up a little Easter egg hunt for Monet in the back yard. She got the hang of it right away and had fun finding the eggs.

Then she discovered there was candy in them.

We spent most of the afternoon soaking up the sun, sitting in the backyard. Monet was happy playing with Sadie and Tinkerbell. Her favorite thing is to put their food in their dish. They must love when she comes over because they get lots of extra grub.
