11.26.09

Thanksgiving This year we had Thanksgiving at our house. We had about twenty people. My mom made all of the food, and I, well... I guess I helped. Sadly after it was over I realized I only snapped a few (random) photo's.
Grant before he blessed the food.
Chloe, waiting to eat.
Monet was having fun being played with and passed around but when the night was over, she was exhausted. Struggling to stay awake drinking her bottle.

Christmas Tree
Sunday we all went to cut our Christmas trees. First we ate breakfast at Chicks Cafe in Heber.

It was such a beautiful day. Not too cold. Blue skies. Enough snow.
My dad, Monet and I stayed back to watch the fire. We went on a little hike, had hot chocolate and listened to Christmas music while we waited for the loggers to find the trees.

Staying warm by the fire.

Finally they return! (well two of them at least.)

I love this one.
Becky and Riley, after hiking miles for the perfect trees.

Thanksgiving break was great. Plenty of activities. Plenty of relaxing.

Monet had her 6 month appointment last week (a little late since she will be 7 months this week.)
Weight: 14 lbs 13 oz (10%)
Height: 26.4 (50%)
Head: (50%)
She has two bottom teeth and she is now crawling... slow but steady. Thanks aunt Chloe for the nice post-bath mohawk last night.
This week: busy getting ready for Thanksgiving.
...
See you soon.

11.10.09

Even though I was extremely sad to let summer go, I will admit November / December are my favorite times of the year.
...
I've already made about 5 pumpkin pies.
I've ordered new pillows and picture frames for my living room to make it more cozy.
I have a cupboard hiding Christmas gifts.
I woke up early and bought our Christmas tree permit.
I can cook chili and pot roast again, (just about the only two things I can make!)

Hope your fall is wonderful too.

The extremely talented Hayley Anderson, created this poster for me. In addition to taking such beautiful photos, she is very creative. She can design any poster you want. If you have a special saying, or want to copy something you've seen, she can do it. Check out her blog to contact her... http://www.hayleyphotography.blogspot.com/

Meal Time
Loves fruit. Learning to like rice cereal.

Has anyone seen a highchair that is; comfortable for her, clean, simple, and a bit modern?

HALLOWEEN
We went to my parents house to first carve a pumpkin. It took all five of us. Chloe drew two designs, Monet picked the drawing she liked best, I drew it on the pumpkin, Grant carved half, Larry gutted and carved the other half. Total project time, about five minutes. Don't let Grant's scary face frighten you too much.
Monet's not afraid.
Fantastic pumpkin girls.
...
And for the costume.
My little chiquita bonita.

The funniest part is once the head band is on she has no idea it's there and just goes about her business with this huge flamingo thing on her head.
...
We had fun visiting friends and family.
...
I think she had a great first Halloween... I know the rest of us did!
