Christmas 2009 December 23rd Tucker Family Christmas Party
...
We had our family party at La Dolce Vita again this year. Monet came to party in her fur coat.
Me, my mom and Chloe.
Another visit from Santa Claus.
December 24th Christmas Eve
...
I think Christmas eve is my favorite part about Christmas. It's always calm and peaceful. We had dinner at the Snake Creek Grill. We always go to my parents church for the CandleLight Service but Monet was too tired so we skipped it this year. We went straight to my parents and opened pj's, watched A Christmas Story, ate sugar cookies and peppermint ice cream, and just hung out.

Everyone waiting to open their pajama's.

Monet and her stocking. When Chloe sat on Santa's lap she asked for Jacob Black, she must have been a good girl because there he was waiting at the tree for her.
Monet loved these bath toys from Chloe.
Grants parents sent her a Madame Alexander doll.
I gave Grant this hiking backpack. Looks like they both like it.
Grant surprised me with new ski boots and skis. We went the next day and I absolutely loved them. We had so much fun.
A little family Christmas photo.
Monet has watched Elmo's Christmas everyday since the beginning of December. Here she is on Christmas morning. She loves it.
Christmas night giving Chloe kisses. Chloe spent the entire week at our house, I think Monet thought she was in heaven.
Ending Christmas with Grandpa and Riley reading her Fancy Nancy's Christmas.
...
Christmas was extra special this year with Monet. She makes everything so much fun.

Last night we had our annual 'Christmas Outing'. We had dinner at Lambs and then went ice skating. Riley never disappoints on the ice. Put on a pair of tights and you'd swear he was an Olympian..
Here Riley and Chloe are skating a duet. Nice leg lifts.
Grant getting crazy.
Chloe ruling the rink.
Dad and Mom watching Monet while we skated.
And the absolute best news of all
WYATT & LINDSAY ARE ENGAGED!!!!

We took Monet to Santa Claus last night.
...
She looks pretty excited. Chloe wanted to sit on Santa's lap too... she really wants extensions and thought she better ask him in person. Monet wasn't sure what to ask for.
I didn't know if she would cry or not... obviously not. She just looked at him. He talked to her and held her hand.

I think I will take a blogging break. My heart feels heavy. My grandpa Karl Tucker isn't doing well. We are all so sad.

12.10.09

I'm a little late this month... but Monet is now 7 1/2 months. She has two bottom teeth (as you can see). Her hair is growing and now she wakes up with the cutest fuzzy bedhead. She is crawling all over. She sits up all by herself. She pulls herself up on her knees. The other day she pulled herself all the way up on her feet while in her crib... so we lowered it as far down as it would go. She can say "mama, dada and baba" obviously not on cue, but all are in her mumbled vocabulary. She really makes me laugh, especially when she squints her eyes and crinkles her nose like she is in the picture.

Monet is sleeping, so I am searching the computer for cute things like...
This adorable sweater tag. I've decided next year I am going to up my xmas decorating. I love these paper balls.
How cute is this kids fashion starter kit. I honestly want this for myself right now.
Love the french wooden toys.

I love how many great Christmas things you can find online. The possibilities are endless. It's so fun.

Chloe's Cheer Competition
...
Yesterday was Timpview's first competition at Cottonwood. When we arrived my heart started pounding with nervousness for Chloe... She was nervous too. We were sitting front row. I've always been cheering or coaching and so I was loving being a spectator. I could have sat there all day. I think Monet could have too. She was entranced. Look at that face. Chloe opened the routine with a basket toss double full down. It was beautiful.
Here she is again, she is one of the main flyer's which made it so fun to watch. I'm so proud of her because she literally decided to do cheer the week of tryouts, with no experience or practice, and now she's awesome, just in 6 short months.
It was a little embarrassing because I was fighting tears the whole time. I don't know why. It's like one day she's 4 and standing on the basketball court next to me while I cheer, in her Dorothy costume and now all of a sudden she's 15 and on the cheer squad herself.
It was really fun to watch. She did great. The whole team did.

Tonight we put up the Christmas tree. The house smells like fresh pine needles. Monet is crawling everywhere.
