http://www.mrfrench.com/, The French Paper Company, has some really great Christmas gifts that you won't find around town. I'm a sucker for stationary which they have plenty of and these bird soaps seem refreshing and holiday-ish and who wouldn't like a package this cute.

Since I've been talking about building for the last 9 months, I'll post these pictures of the house now that it's finished.
These are pictures of our bedroom and bathroom.

A kids bathroom.

Upstairs hallway.

Another kids bathroom.

Craft Room.

Guest Bathroom.

Mudroom.

Entry.

Our Christmas tree that looked perfect when it was sitting in the Forrest surrounded by other trees. Once we cut it down and brought it home, we've discovered it's terribly crooked.

My first ornament in the new house. Now, where to hang it?

We've been moving since Friday morning. I'll post pictures when I find the energy. Might not be for a few days. Despite all of my months of organization and moving preparation, moving and putting away is still such a pain.

I found this website which has some unique cards. A good place to look for Christmas.

If you've been wondering why I have been absent, these are some of the reasons:

- The master shower leaked into the kitchen, therefore we had to rip a huge hole into the drywall next to the dinette light.

-The steps and landings once poured were not up to code, so we've been adding concrete where ever needed to pass inspection.

-The farm sink in the craft room didn't fit into the cabinet (did I mention the first farm sink was back ordered because of a warehouse fire) so the cabinets had to be cut into.

- There was a problem with my London wallpaper so I had to re shop and reorder new wallpaper. Now it's from Boston which is not as romantic as London, but the print will be fresher and bolder, which I'm looking forward to.

-The master fireplace didn't fit on the wall, so we had to tear it off and redo the drywall, and then reinstall it.

-The claw foot tub faucet came in 7 inch rim holes, and of course I have 8 inch rim holes. Sent back, reordered.

Not to mention I also had the flu.

We're about a week away...hopefully.

Every year my Halloween obsessed uncle hosts the Evil Ball, which is the most seriously taken Halloween party you've ever seen. One year it was Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio, another Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock (not my most classy moment). Last year was Willy Wonka and Violet. There was even a year with Pee Wee Herman, that in my opinion will never be topped. This year the Evil Ball is postponed, so we're packing up and spending Halloween at Disneyland. I'll make sure to scream extra loud on the Tower of Terror.

I found this desk calendar at esty.com. I just received it in the mail a few days ago. It's even more beautiful than I was expecting. If they have any left I highly recommend getting one. Actually I recommend getting a few. Christmas is coming.

I love white. I painted the entire house white. Now I am on the look out for the right furniture to spice it up. It will take years I'm sure, but I can be patient.
By the way the house is almost done. Yeah!

It seems like every house deserves a little drama. www.brocadehome.com has some awesome pieces.
I love this little white side table.

I had some questions about where to find good wallpaper. This website has some really beautiful ones that will definitely make a statement.

Make a collage. I can almost guarantee it will make you happy.
I started making story boards for Belle. I covered it with fabrics, colors, buttons, inspiring styles and textures. Right now my board is filled with tile colors, paint swatches, carpet samples and magazine tear outs.
A collage of what you love will inspire you daily.
And will also make you see beauty a little more often.
