6.30.11

I'm home recovering from an exhausting two week vacation to Hawaii... ha ha did that make you jealous, I'm sorry.

...

Grant and I left Monet with my parents and Chloe while we left for Kauai. Grant was the best man at his best friends wedding. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt which was amazing. The nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The pools were unbelievable. It was such a blast playing tennis in the mornings, laying out all day and then doing wedding events every evening. We really had the best time. ...

Sunday came around, which was the day of the wedding and also the day that my parents and Chloe and Monet flew into Kauai for another week long vacation. I was so anxious to see Monet but she was sound asleep by the time we arrived. I felt like I was like sleeping next to the Christmas tree, but not allowed to open any of the gifts. But at 3:30am she woke up and I could tell she was startled so I quietly walked to her crib and said, "it's ok it's mama" there was a long pause and then she said, "hi mama!!" It was adorable. I put her in bed with us and for the next two hours she didn't say a word but she snuggled her face in my neck, and rolled all over me, and laid on my chest. It was like the best moment ever.

...

So then round two of the trip began. This was such a fun week obviously because there is no one else more fun to be around than your own family. Plus it was nice not having to get all dressed up every night. No make up. No hair. That's my kind of Hawaii.
...

One day we drove to Princeville, ate cheeseburgers at Bubbas,

And then went to the beach.

The Wolf had one goal : master the L tan. Mission Accomplished by day 7.

Monet is a Tucker. She liked the water fine, but liked playing in the sand much better.

I don't where the photos of Becky are because she was right out there swimming with everyone else.

Then we went to our favorite shaved ice spot on the whole island. I could eat one of those every day for the rest of my life.

It was cloudy a few of the nights so we were excited to catch the sunset when it was clear.

The night before we left we had dinner at The Beach House. Another favorite spot.

It was perfect because there were turtles right next to us. Monet kept calling them Crush.

The Hyatt pools were really fun to take Monet to. And I will admit that Chloe, Grant and I were in line for the water slide for about half of the day.

We left late Sunday afternoon. This was our final group shot.

We had to sneak in one more shaved ice before we left.

The flights home were fine. I put Monet in her pjs, made her a bed next to me and she slept 4 of the 6 hour flight. Luckily she was quiet and didn't cry.

We had such an amazing trip. I'm very lucky to have parents to not only watch my baby for a week but also to take her on a 7 hour plane ride to Kauai! When we got home Monet was saying, "I want to go home, I want to go to Nana's."

That trip looks like so much fun and can I just say you have a hot body! I miss my bikini days:( Love the sweet story of Monet saying "Hi Mama!". It's always so hard to be away from them but it's the best feeling when they're in your arms again.
