Monday, July 2nd, me, Becky, Chloe and Monet headed to Zions. We went a day before everyone else. We went to dinner, swam, and hungout by the river.
One afternoon everyone floated the river. Monet hopped in Chloe's raft as they passed the hotel. She didn't want to get out, she loved it.
4th of July was a lot of fun. We woke up and watched the parade right in front of the hotel. It's such a small town, and a small parade, it's like having the whole thing to ourselves. Monet was happy.
After a day of swimming, my parents threw such a fun BBQ up at the park. We ate kabobs, had a pinata for the kids, played bad mitten, enjoyed some singing and dancing from Monet and then a concert by Keith. Everyone had such a good time.
We were lucky to spend so much time with family. Joyce took us all out to a nice dinner one of the nights.
Between swimming, hiking, and playing with cousins, Monet was pretty worn out! But she was really, really good and so sweet and so much fun to be around.
The boys had fun playing croquet.
Monet had fun dressing herself.
I got to spend lots of time with Monet since we were the two that couldn't hike. We swam a lot. Went to lunch. Went to the bookstore. Took naps together. It was nice.
I was proud of Monet's swimming (and Chloe for teaching her.) She was loving it. Going under, trying to swim, and jumping off the side.
It was the perfect summer vacation. We came home tan and tired!
