QUESTION???

Do any of you moms out there NOT use bumper pads in the crib? I never bought any because I had the crib sheet made - I've done some online research and read that you really don't need bumper pads... any thoughts if I am a bad mom for not padding the crib?

24th of July picnic

... For the 24th we went to Sundance for a picnic.
She was happy laying and kicking on her blanket in the fresh air.
Chloe was happy to hold and play with her.

Good news...
She will drink formula now.
No more nursing in dirty stair wells.

I am so thankful to be feeling healthy again. There were about 8 weeks where I wasn't sure if I would ever feel like my normal self again. I still have some stomach issues but overall I feel so much healthier. I don't think there is anything more important in life than feeling well.

Last night we met some friends for a movie. I thought (hoped) Monet would fall asleep through it all. However she looked like this for almost the entire 3 hour movie. I think she might be too out of the "newborn" stage for movies.

I took Monet to her first concert last night - up at Sundance - (Grant's been golfing in Tahoe all week). She was just a doll. It was cold out so we wrapped her in lots of blankets and took turns snuggling her. She seemed to love it, she was smiling and making cute little sounds that were cracking us up.

The girls sitting in front of us asked my mom what number this baby was for her, I was like, "hey, that's my baby!!"

This week we went down to Zions with a bunch of my family. We had a great time hiking, hanging out by the pool and eating lots of good food. It was definitely hot, but I love the heat so I wasn't complaining. These are some pictures of our hike to the Emerald Pools.

Monet was strapped to Grant in the baby Bijorn. We weren't sure if she was asleep or in a heat coma.

Monet was a trooper.

The morning we left we got up early to hike, trying to avoid the hot temperature. Monet slept the entire time. I just happened to snap this picture while she had a big grin on her face.

We hiked to the Narrows but didn't go in cause of the babe, we'll be able to take her in next year.

Had a great time. Wish it wasn't over so quickly.
