Reasons I won't be blogging for awhile.
1) I have a lot to do.
2) I'm going to Hawaii.
Waiting for beautiful weather. Dreaming of Hawaii. Organized over the weekend. I organize and then I re-organize. I love to have everything put away and looking clean. I like to know exactly where everything is. I also love to throw away. When I'm in "clean out mode" anything could go. Sometimes I regret it. Like when I threw out my 2nd in the Nation trophy for my Individual Cheerleading Routine. I thought "what will I need this for? I don't want to move it to the new house." A few days later after the dumpster had taken it away, I thought, "I should have kept that."
I bought my mom this book at Anthropologie. It's called, "My French Life." It's about a woman who packed up her family and moved to Provence to fulfill her dream of living in France. It has beautiful pictures.
I also bought her this candle. I loved the dainty vintage jar. Perfect for her almost - finished - newly - remodeled bathroom.
I'm really not good at cooking. However, making a meal one night a week was my New Year's resolution. I admit a lot of weeks have gone by this year where we ate only peanut butter / banana toast and cereal. But a goal isn't accomplished all at once. Last night I made stir fry. It was pretty good. I was pretty happy. I want to get into the "organic" thing now that I have a whole foods near our house. I found this recipe on Domino Mag. I think I might try this for next weeks meal. If any of you have a cook book or a source for easy recipes. Please share the info. I'm getting desperate.
Luckily I already have the cute apron. I'm hoping to one day use it.
