My dear, sweet grandpa, Coach Karl Tucker passed away.
...
I don't know how a granddaughter and grandfather could have been any closer.
He taught me not only about golfing, skiing, horseback riding, but how to be a good person.
It really, really hurts to let him go.
Grant and Karl were such great friends. They spent endless hours together on the golf course. I know Grant's heart will ache every time he picks up a golf club... for a long, long time.

I will always cherish him. I will never stop missing him.

Somehow I can't think of many time with grandpa without thinking of you, too. The best of times.
Love you.

Hayley,
I just looked at all those websites with articles on your grandpa, he sounds like such an amazing man. You were lucky to have him as your grandpa and to have such a close relationship with him. So sorry for your lose. Prayers are with your family!

Hayley my heart goes out to you. Being able to be around BYU sports I was able to introduce myself and meet him. He would remember me every time we would see one another at a BYU function. He will be missed greatly. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

i am sitting in my hotel room in hawaii crying. Grandpa Karl always made me feel like I was one of his own grandkids, that's the kind of man he was.....accepting of everyone, loving, and always genuinely interested in whomever he was around. i love the quote in one of the articles about him, i think it was by someone at BYU but it said, "Karl always remembered everyone's name....." That is so true and it's because he really did care about others. Thanks for posting this and letting us share a little bit of your grandpa. So sad I won't be there for the funeral but I'll definitely be thinking of you and your entire family. xoxo
