Pear & Eggs
Why am I posting a picture of my dinner?
Because I need help.
...
I am self diagnosing myself and I think my stomach issues point to one thing: gluten. I'm so fed up with stomach aches that I am finally starting to really do something about it. So I've cut gluten out... that means no bread, grains, wheat, no pasta, pizza, cookies, cake, brownies, no ice cream, chewy candy, crackers, chips, licorice, nothing with flour... the list goes on and on and on.
...
So I am asking for help. If any of you know any gluten free secrets please share. I'm feeling desperate and hungry!
...
It's probably a long shot that anyone else is experiencing this but I figure it won't hurt to try.
...
(Oh and I cheat because I can never give up In N Out).

Cafe Paesan sells a gluten-free pizza-it's really good and I'm not just saying that. I've tried gluten-free stuff and it's nasty, but this pizza is good. Also, just incorporate alot of lentils into your diet. Good luck. Have you talked to a Dr.?

this sounds soooo familiar. i have a good friend that experienced the same thing for years and finally clued in to the gluten thing. i think you are spot-on. she is so much better now and doesn't have any stomach issues. i'll talk to her and get back with you.

Like I've told you, my nephew has Celiac's Disease and is on an incredibly strict gluten free diet. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law have all sorts of secrets...I'll ask them for you. They're always making Liam his own version of what we're eating, and I'm amazed at what's out there.
I know that Costco has quite a few gluten free things, and a lot of grocery stores have a gluten free section. Also, a lot of resturants have gluten free menus if you just ask (a few I know of...PF Changs, Chili's, Texas Roadhouse, etc). Also, I hear that In n' Out has a gluten free option...you should ask (probably a hamburger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun) AND Red Mango is gluten free and delish!

As if my last comment wasn't long enough...
They have gluten free bakery's up North...and the cookies and stuff really are good.
Also, Good Earth in AF has a lot of stuff, and has Rice Bread and stuff.

You should have your dr. test you. I know with my nephew, that was a big deal with finding out how severe his allergies were.
I guarantee you're right...but, your dr. could tell you how severe it is. Some people don't have to go 100% gluten free...maybe you won't have to cut out EVERYTHING good, afterall!! I'll cross my fingers for you.

Oh no! My mom has celiac's too. I'll ask her for some tips but as far as in-n-out goes I know she always just asks for it protein style with just the lettuce :( She has found some bread, crackers and bagels and stuff that she likes though. And Betty Crocker makes some gluten free mixes if you need a treat.

My nephew has celiacs and we thought that maybe Wyatt did for awhile, but he doesn't. All it takes is a blood test to find out. Id do that before you put yourself though such a miserable diet. Call me and I'll find out some easy food options. Hawrmons has a decent gluten free isle.

I made gluten free fish tacos the other night that were way yummy.

I have been looking into gluten free foods for my family. I really like the gluten free chips at costco. They are mission restaurant style chips. They are fab with some fresh salsa. Good luck with your stomach aches, I couldn't give up the In and Out either.

I was going to tell you to go get tested too. Sloane had to get tested once, came up negative but it was good to know. It's a simple blood test but I will prepare you that it is expensive. Ours was around $400 but I am not sure if it had to do with our insurance etc. But it is worth it. Good Luck! Hope you feel better!! Also Janelle Francis that lives in our mommies neighborhood is QUEEN of this type of eating. She wrote a cook book and more info than ever!! Seriously call her.

Hayley, you can still eat all that good stuff. You just have to substitue a few things. You should look into this cookbook called Baby Cakes.
