HELP...
This is getting ridiculous. I was just starting to feel better and now I have that stupid mastitis. I got on an antibiotic last night but the Dr said it's going to make the baby colicky, so now I'm wondering if I should just put her on formula while I'm on the medication for a week.
...
Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?
...
(you know what's funny, just two days ago I said to myself, "At least I haven't had any problems nursing, that's been the easiest part." I guess I kind of shot myself in the foot with that one).
...
I swear one of these days this blog wont be about every single ailment I have.

Hayley--you've got to be kidding! You have had WAY more than your fair share here. I'm so sorry. I have not gotten mastitis but have heard it is not fun. I would probably try to keep nursing and see how Monet responds to it. If it is really affecting her, go ahead and do the formula. Good luck!

warning: if you switch to formula you might like it so much you won't go back. formula is so easy and convenient, i think you'll love it. good luck!

i'm just such a pro nurser i would tell you to nurse through the mastitis. that's what i did. the antibiotics will be just fine for her {at least thats what my doctor told me.} nursing was such a pain at first but now i feel like it's totally the easier way to go then trying to heat up a bottle in the dead of night, or track down a place to sanitize a bottle in costco. but that's just my silly opinion.
..
pump if you can. if you don't have a good pump orem community rents them for fifteen a week. get that milk OUT! and also i would sleep with a heating pad on me. this is a long comment. email me if you have any questions. IT SUCKS! so sorry.

Nursing was one of the hardest things for me-so I guess you have been lucky in that regard. Sorry about the mastitis. No experience with that. I would try a lactation specialist.

I had problems nursing my first baby and I did formula and nursing for a while. With this baby I'm just nursing and it is so much easier than the whole formula/bottle thing! Good luck!

You should talk to Chelsey at Hayley's wedding about that tonight. She had it really bad right after she had Noah. She would be able to give you some advice!
