Talked to a lactation specialist. She really helped. Feeling lots better. Nursing it out. Getting back to normal. Thanks for the advice.

Once you've had surgery and mastitis during the post-partum period it can only go uphill from here! I'm glad you talked to her! Call me if you need anything else!

Hi hay! When it comes to breastfeeding, I think i've dealt with it to some degree. Jan caught my infection just before mastitis-he had my doc put me on an antibiotic- just take lots of acidophilos and lots of yogurt so u or Monet doesn't get thrush/yeast-ronin wasn't colicky with an antibioic. It should be fine to nurse. But I hear mastiis is miserable. Soo sorry!

I had mastitis with Boston, and I just got the antibiotic right away, and then took lots of hot showers and had her nurse on the sore side first every time. IT KILLS!!!! :) But it gets better quick if you can just stick through it.
You have done awesome with everything you have had to go through.
I think it is great that you can still nurse after surgery. My milk would have dried up.
Just hang in there.
Pretty soon you will be in a routine, and life will be great.....and then she will start getting teeth..:)
I am glad you are feeling better.
